They say behind every great man, is a great woman (and behind every great woman, is her gay best friend). While I can’t say I’m anywhere near great, here are the people who are a part of my life and are great little beings on their own:
THE BOYFRIEND: Fizzy Mazlan
It takes a lot for me to fall for a guy and this dapper young thing here has got me hook, line and sinker. There’s just something about a brooding, intelligent symbolic artist and his brand of dry, witty dark humor. I love him and all the little bells and whistles that he wears on a daily basis 
I remember being really terrified at his quiet and honest demeanor, but it’s the very same thing that pulled me into him. Our conversations run from deep and philosophical, to silly and childish the next. Gorgeous, tall and artsy. We’ve been through a lot and I can only hope to be with him for a long, long time.
THE SUPER SILLY QUEEN: Sharifa Alia
Ah, I remember this lovely girlie; we were too afraid to talk to each other on the first semester during orientation and only meeting her by chance again in the infamous plaza when scouting for potential friends to last me through college. Needless to say, I just love this girl, her art and her super silly self; never failing to relate a story with fiery passion and acting and of course, she does it with voices! She’s currently on a mission to write and publish her own very book

THE BOOBINATOR: Dhahma Ibrahim
I remember being very surprised at her friendliness when I first met her, also in the first semester (she was my classmate and the very reason why me and Alia met in the first place). We were waiting in line at the art store, getting our materials for the little exercise for Analytical Drawing with Huei. She’s shy, quiet and notoriously known for her ample assets and kindness. Besides, she’s such a doll.
THE ROCKSTAR: Kat Tilley
I met her during 2005, being very fangirly Queen fangirls and all things classic rock. I remember talking to her about comic books on our first conversation and found that we had a lot in common! I love how she still sends letters in the mail, how she remembers all these little dates and how she never fails to be a complete and utter sweetheart. She’s been there with me for the good and the bad and I hope to continue being good friends with her for a long long time. Babe, when you’ve made it to the top, I’ll be smiling on ;__;

THE ALTERNATIVE ONE: Lisa Cobain
With her dyed hair and piercings, many would often write her off as some angry, rebellious German who kicks and punches in the mosh pits amidst screaming metal music. But don’t be fooled, this demure sweetheart wants nothing more than a good time with friends, some cake on her plate and of course, her rock music in her ears.
THE PHOTOGRAPHER: Indy Haldar
I used to think he was the nerd of the class (with an IQ of 140, you would think so too), always there with his laptop and glasses, diligently trying to finish his work and going on and on about his obscure European films and photography techniques. With a big smile and an even bigger tummy, Indy’s known for his rather peverse sense of humor and his often hilarious reactions to situations that go on in The Gang™.
THE PLAYA’: ObiWan Nath
The guy that was always by Indy’s side, until I found out they shared a love-hate relationship. Always up to no good and always trying to find some way, any way, to get a bottle of vodka or any alcohol and having a blast with the boys. Known for his ‘philosophies’, his boyish ways and of course, his 200lbs of clothes and his blur-ness.

THE MOTHER: Ezaty Hassan
Opinionated and loud, fab and fantastic, she’s the ‘mother’ of the group because, even though she gives us sharp comebacks to all our problems and failures, she looks out for us like you don’t know it. A livid lover of cats and always going to class at the last possible minute, this chica is super fun to hang out with <3
THE SKANK: Riya Aris
Loud, proud and certainly not ashamed to let the world know her thoughts. She’s packed with fun, crazy techno music (she is a shuffler) and of course, her choice of expensive bags and clothes. With her collection of pink everything, she’s the girliest of the group and also the youngest
THE SEXY ONE: Diva Tearsa
You can’t blame the boys going crazy for this sexy young thing; she models, she’s got a killer bod and of course, possessing a mind of her own. A little blur and a little cute, she’s a lovable girl, always keeping an eye out for us and always keeping us together. And how can you hate a girl whose real name is Diva?
