*sigh* So very troublesome. But I do have a few ideas lingering around, so I do hope to come up with something, before the dreadful load of assignments start pouring on me, and then I’ll be really left without any time to do personal works.

I did go on a ridiculously fun trip with the beau to IKEA and seemingly the whole of Damansara/Bangsar. We got lost on the way home though, no thanks to Malaysians and our love of putting signboards right at the turn we’re supposed to make and the sudden, unannounced road closures

So I’ve been on many many many silly adventures, since I’ve last posted.

Went to Genting about a week ago and it was a lot of fun, my gosh. We didn’t get to explore most of the outdoor park (and consequently, didn’t get to go on many of the rides either), since it was raining, but we had a lot of fun fagging about the Indoor park and mall place.

And you know what? I honestly loved the cool weather up there, reminded me of San Francisco, and also the silliness that entails the Malaysians XD

See, we can understand Malaysians adapting better to the humid climate, I mean, I know as Malaysians, we throw snickers at the silly tourists who wear those ridiculous shorts and wide-brimmed hats and tank tops, and a backpack possibly filled to the brim with waterbottles, mosquito repellents and sunblock.

As a Malaysian who has dealt with cool weather, however, I couldn’t help but snicker at Malaysians who were outright wearing WINTER GEAR up in the Highlands. I could understand feeling cold in your short shorts and tees, I know I would, I went there with a sensible cardigan, some woolen tights, a scarf and some boots. When I see the dainty Asian girls with their parkas and hoodies and fur-lined and godawful Ugg boots, I near cried from laughter. I could understand a bit of over-preperation, it can get chilly up there and it would be most uncomfortable to walk around in nothing but your knickers, but really? Throw on a sweater and some proper shoes and you’ll be fine.

However, despite some over-prepared Chinese girlies walking about in and out from the casinos and abundance of Chinese restaurants, I couldn’t help but wonder what on Earth silly girls were walking about with mini skirts and flimsy peasant tops were thinking.

It was such a nice trip though, get out of the house, head to the border and just have good-clean fun <3 Arrived at First World at about 8 am? Most of the rides and shops weren’t open, so we decided to roam around a little and had some breakfast at Marrybrown’s. Their chicken is amazing, their nasi lemak, however, left much to be desired :p

I think we spent most of our time in the Ripley’s Museum of Facts and Oddities! which, is really really cool, if you like anything that involves brain teasing and optical illusions X)

I had a lot of fun though, even if the rides were a little on the kiddy-side X) We did stop by for coffee and cheesecake at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf <3 Also, managed to snag myself some Blush! lingerie heehee! We’re gonna go back up there, possibly with more of our friends, since it seemed like a lot of the outdoor rides catered to 4 or more people > w>

It’s just nice though, to plan a little daytrip and get away from it all <3

Anyway, my dad came back from Phuket, which more or less turned out to be a serendipidious vacation for him haha. Now, now I’m planning to drag The Gang™ there for our next trip (we’ve been talking about the possibility of an overseas trip one of these days, but we weren’t sure where, so now that we know…).

Sent my dad to and from the airport, which is a pretty tiring feat, since the Low Cost Carrier is MILES away from the actual airport itself. To put this in perspective; on the road to KLIA, there will be a fork in the road, if you turn left, you’ll head to the LCC. If you turn right, you’ll head for the main terminal. It takes maybe ten or so minutes to get to the main terminal’s parking lot. Should you choose to turn left and head for the LCC, you’ll be arriving there in another half hour or so, depending on the traffic, of course.

But the trip didn’t leave me empty handed though

In great glorious words, it really is what a woman should smell like. It’s very mild, woody with some floral undertones. It’s very classy and understated, but it also kinda stands out ? I like~

Anyway, did anyone catch the news of Malaysia outright BANNING Mat Rempits/bikers and transvestites/drags from movies and drama? It’s a blanket ruling so ALL movies and dramas have to be remade, this includes those that have already been released.

I honestly think this is insulting. Why? Because it’s like saying that we Malaysians are too stupid to realize what is wrong and right. They say that it’s to discourage such atrocious behaviour, I say, it isn’t going to stop a thing. If people are influenced from what they watch in the cinema, you’ve got another whole different problem entirely. What? They’ll ban movies like Harry Potter now because it will have kids learning witchcraft? How about The Fast and The Furious, are they going to ban that because some cocky Chinese boys from Subang are going to take their modded Proton Sagas and race down the LDP at 3am with it?

And really, honestly, transvestites have been influenced from other, wildly different aspects, movies play no part in it, other than to show that it’s there, it happens, etc. And hey, some of these movies use the comedic, slapstick effect of the hapless hero going in disguise as a woman and making a run for it. YES, they want to ban that too.

Look, I don’t like Rempits at all, I really could do without them, thank you very much. But banning a little 2 hour flick isn’t going to change a damned thing. They do the things they do because of other influences and reasons, not because they saw it in a movie and thought it was the bee’s knees.

So much for moving forward Malaysia I honestly give all my support to the filmmakers out there who will challenge this ruling, it’s stumps creativity and mocks the intelligence of Malaysians. And yet they wonder why foreigners think we’re a strange, backwards lot

They had the most gorgeous and EMPTY beaches I’ve seen in a long, long time. Seriously, you could just drive along the coast, pick a spot, park your car and enjoy the day. Our one was near a small village and maybe 10 minutes away from the hotel and AWAY from the tourists.

We ended the trip with a pseudo visit to Genting. I say pseudo, because we were at the rest stop and drove up a little ways to catch the view from the mountain. Needless to say, I think I know where our next trip is going to be

How did your semester go?
It was crazy! I had to write a book about a subject I was just learning and I’m pretty sure I crashed some of the other works too, but I’m hoping for the best ;;___;; All the same, I have to extend my deepest thanks for Fizzy for keeping me afloat and constantly telling me to get my head in gear. Also, if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have been able to pass Photography; story is that we were allowed to do our final assignments in a group of two people or do it solo, we had a free choice of what we wanted to do, granted that it would be an ad and it had to be mostly photography.

All the same, if it wasn’t for Mr. Sexyfine, who graciously let me in on his mostly solo work, I wouldn’t have been able to finish off Photography class and have more time to finish my stuff!

I’m glad, however that it all ended on a good note and that we had the day to ourselves baking. Yes, you heard right, we celebrated the last day of the semester baking cupcakes in our suits and dresses and skirts and shoes, we’re hxc like that

So… what have you been up to?
You tell me :p Well, I can’t say I haven’t done anything at all, I have managed to hang out with Lisa quite a bit, and the usual Art Gang, and of course, it’s always always good to throw Fizzy in the mix, because that boy is so terribly lulzy, I’m beginning to think he’s an internet troll*.

* for the un-geeks: an internet troll is someone who ‘actively seeks out lulz’, meaning that, he goes out of his way and posts up these silly silly videos he found on YouTube. By definition, he’s a troll.

Anywhore, tomorrow I have to go and send my dad off to the airport (no, wait, scratch that, it’s in a matter of a few hours, but WHATEVER!) and also going to see Riya and our friend Zubin. It’s weird, because I’ve known him sorta since the second semester, but it wasn’t until recently that he chatted with me on Facebook and wondered just why on Earth I’ve never bothered to talk to him in the first place! Well, there are a few other things that I found out about him, but I doubt it seriously matters in the end :p

I have been well though, none of that swine flu for me *touch wood* I’ve been joining contests on DA, it’s for a club that has been featuring my artworks a couple of times and I figured, hey, since I signed up, why not? Also, commissions are going along swimmingly, even if I am having a bit of trouble finishing them on tme. Thankfully, my commissioners are sweet, sweet little angels who are letting me take my time with this.

Hah, funniest thing.
See, Fizzy had been taking me to his grandmother’s house during the second semester, because by all right, he was her obvious favourite and wouldn’t do without seeing him every Saturday (ergo, he had to drag me along, and then afterwards heading to ISKL to get materials and meeting his oh so fabulous little fruit cup of a teacher). After that’s been said and done, he’s been taking me over whenever the need calls for it, ie: spare wooden planks, photographs, MONEY, because she said so. Funnier still, is that said sweet grandmother has taken -quite- the liking towards me, and now, the mother wants to meet me.

NEVERMIND the fact that said grandmother has also been throwing these ridiculous marriage offers at the both of us >____> UMMM!

In the meantime though, I’ll keep you guessing:

I can tell you though, it was a blast through it all haha

Hell, I don’t even know -what- I am to you or -how- I make you feel, I’m so insecure. Constantly worrying about you leaving me for her, because it hurts more that I’m acquainted with her and that I know she drives you absolutely insane.

But then you know, people tell me that it would never happen and that I should stop thinking of silly things, because I’m with you -now- and I should be glad that I’ve been with you for so long. I wish I could tell you that it drives me wild when you say her name, because then /these/ thoughts get into my head and this very carefully built image I have of ‘us’ are wiped away completely, and I have to rebuild it all over again. And it’s never easy each time, because thoughts have a way of creeping back in and it becomes a stumbling block.

I don’t doubt you, I care for you like it’s crazy, I mean it when I say you mean the world to me and that losing you is one of my biggest fears. I don’t want this silly little insecurity get in the way and really, I think I just put these thoughts into my head because I’m a pathetic little attention seeker who needs to be constantly reminded that the world isn’t going to blow up at every 3 second interval.

I need sleep, I’ll see you in the morning.

Anyway, to the main point of this entry… someone mentioned to me a while ago about the state of certain members on the CF boards and how, it in turn, reflects badly on the rest of the community. Some time during the conversation though, I brought up about how I really honestly didn’t ‘care’ much for anime/manga things anymore, at least not as much as I did, say 3 or 4 years ago. In turn though, I think that whole waning of interest led me to not have enjoyed the previous CF event.

I mean, I’m not a gamer to begin with, and most games that I do find enjoyable are the kind of games that are off-beat, quirky and honestly? Hard to appeal to some of the gamers here (Psychonauts comes to mind). And anime sorta lost its hold on me, that or the Japanese are losing their touch, I tend to roll my eyes now at some of the new releases. The older series however, still hold their magic on me (anyone remember Boys Be or You’re Under Arrest?). So, I don’t think I’ll attend the CF events, at least not for the event itself. Sure, I’ll meet up with friends and man the booth, but if only because I’m still very much involved in the art.

That, and each event tends to cost more and more for me ; w; And because I don’t keep up with anime/manga/mainstream games, I have to comb through some of the booths, hoping that a table somewhere out there has merch out there worth my time and money ; w;

So about two weeks ago (methinks), my girl Riya finally turned the magical age of 18 \o/ HOORAY! So she threw an awesome sauce party at Sunway Pyramid, at TGI Friday’s for dinner and Republic for some clubbing and hanging out later on

Food was excellent, drinks were divine and the music (though your standard hip-hop/house) was perfect for the partying mood X3

Since me and Indra didn’t have ‘dates’ for the night (everyone but us brought their respective boyfriend/girlfriend along), we decided to be each other’s dates hahahaha. He’s usually wearing eyeliner and TONS of face piercings.

So the TGI’s guys came up to us and apparently someone told them that it was her birthday, so they had Riya stand up on her chair, holding a ketchup bottle like it was an award and she was to sing a song of her choice, but it can’t be a nursery rhyme, birthday song or national anthem of any country XD So she went with Flo-rida’s “Low” hahaha
